Digital Cartoon:Basic Approach to Cartooning

If you don't know how to draw, you can still hit the drawing board using the traditional method-pen and paper or you can use the technology, like computer to draw the different objects.Let us attack the problem. Our mission is to create a basic Cartoon character. You can use the Paint Brush to draw, remember that drawings are compose of lines and shapes. Prepare your pencil and paper and start to draw the vertical line and slepping lines, fill up the paper, don't pressure your hands.

The purpose of creating lines is to warm up your fingers and wrist. Practice this technique everyday for 5 Minutes, compare your previous works to your current work. If you are comfortable of doing the lines then its about time you indulge your self to draw the elipse/circle. Fill up the paper with circles.

There is an adage "patience is a virtue" prior going to a combat mission you must equip your self with profuse training and carry a full metal jacket against your foes. Perfection of circle needs an aide of a computer program, for example, you can use the Photoshop or a basic graphic program of Paint Brush.

Free Hands to Draw

I have wrote lots of articles  and I would like to erect an experiment blog based on my theory using the pen as an alliance to constitute a full blown drawing. I coined this as "ballpenning". From this point, I think I can instigate a colorful ideas and concepts to everyone out there with inclination to drawing.

You see, we can draw anything on the white surface of the board, canvass, papers , tablets and other medium that the pen could contain the lines,curves,colors,thick and thin lines. My point here is to provide a hodge podge of knowledge with pure reasons that focus to drawings. This is the basic work to produce kaleidoscopic of arts.

In college we have the Humanity as part of the comprehensive subject. We learn to appreciate the various colors of pastels, water colors , crayons and of course to appreciate the different cultures. Now Humanities involvement in arts is a huge appreciation to the different races in this planet.

You can convey your self into writing and drawign, that's make sense because we have the liberty to express our things in our capacity, not doing the bad things but doing the right things-(Ethics). Not all has a gifted hands, but science could change that. Drawing has to form of movement, these are the guided drawing and the freehand drawing. In other words the Technical Drawing and the Free hand Drawing.

How to draw? you don't have that skills to squish your pen and construct a rugged face of the villain and the boy next door face of the good guy. But check the drawings, these are composed of thick,thin,solid, straight,curvy lines and speed lines.

Try to create a sphere, a series of sphere and lines like the standing lines(vert. line) and sleeping lines(hort. Line). Don't push your self, relax, you can use the pencil or ballpen. Crowd you paper with it, don't erase just relax and draw the circles and lines.

This technique is the basic approach to ballpenning.
